Sedimentary Geology & Tectonics Group (SaGeT)



The Sedimentary Geology & Tectonics is a small group in the Earthquake Geology and Geodynamic Division, Research Center for Geotechnology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) that investigates a broad range of aspects of geologic environments from sedimentary analysis to tectonic evolution of in active margin region. Specific research interests include clastic sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology, structural geology, petrology, geophysics, and tectonics. We focus on studies of ancient and modern active margins using outcrop and subsurface data to address geologic problems related to tectonics of the Indonesian region.
